The Lean Six Sigma Academy B.V. (LSSA) is committed to respecting and protecting your data and privacy, In the framework of the GDPR that is effective from the 25th of May 2018. This privacy policy sets out how we may collect, use, process and store your personal information.We take our obligations concerning your privacy and the processing of your personal data very seriously. Therefore we have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that the transition and the preservation of data are safe. We request that you read our privacy policy carefully, for it contains information about how and for what purposes we collect personal data and how you can request to gain insight into, change or remove your data.

Registration personal data

LSSA processes personal data by using our services and/or because they have been provided to us. In some cases, the data is provided by an external party, that requests to process the data for the execution of an assignment. LSSA process the so-called ‘Normal personal data’ and no special and criminal personal data. LSSA processes the personal data based on the following two foundations: permission from the involved persons and the process of the data is required for the execution of an agreement.

The following criteria are taken into account:

Freely given: The involved persons have freely granted permission and have not been pressured to give permission.

Unequivocally: there is a clear conscious action. The involved have for instance registered for a newsletter, given their business card, registered for a training or event, given an assignment of executing a project, or in another way given written or verbally permission. The permission is given by themselves (direct) or by a colleague (indirect).

Informed: The involved have been informed about the identity of LSSA. Our privacy statement and the Terms and Conditions are visible on our website. Participants of training and events are requested to accept these during the registration process. Our privacy statement and Terms and Conditions are sent along in quotations and assignments.

Necessary: If there is an agreement between involved parties causing the necessary processing of personal data.

LSSA records (personal) data for the following purposes:

To carry out a financial administration for handling payments, to be able to deliver goods and services to you, to be able to call or email if necessary to carry out our service, amongst other the sending of invitations for our training and events. To inform you about changes in our services and products. To give the possibility to create a personal or company account. To send our newsletter and/or other physical and digital information.

The archiving of exams you made and the exam results. We communicate these results with certification bodies and to parties for whom we carry out the certification. Furthermore, we archive the Lean Six Sigma projects submitted for certification.

Third parties and social media

We provide your personal data only to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to suffice a legal requirement. LSSA shares data of participants of events and training when these events are carried out in cooperation with a third party. LSSA shares the data of participants that carry out an exam with the concerning examination institute. With companies that process personal data in our assignment, we have a processing agreement to ensure a similar level of security and confidentiality of personal data. LSSA remains responsible for these changes.

During training and events, we sometimes take photos and video recordings. These images are used on our website, newsletters, and social media. At the beginning of each event, the trainer or consultant will indicate that you can request in advance if you do not want to appear on such statements. If you do not report this you agree that we can use the images. LSSA does not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data protection

We take the protection of personal data seriously and have taken appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.

In case of the discovery of a data leak, we will report this at the ‘Authority Personal Data’ (AP). If there is a suspicion of bad security or indications of misuse, please contact the ‘official data protection’ (FG) of LSSA BV.

Rights involved/permission

You have the right to see, correct or delete your personal data. Besides you have the right to withdraw your permission for the processing of the data or to object the processing of your personal data. Also, you have the right of data portability, which means you can request us to send you the personal data we possess in a computer file. You can send the request for this to info@lssa.eu. We will settle such a request within a week.

In the case you receive our newsletter, you can sign out at all times by clicking at the concerning Opt-out link at the bottom of our newsletter.

Our website and/or service does not have the intention to collect data about website visitors younger than 16 years. However, we cannot control if a visitor is older than 16. In the case there is a suspicion that we have collected data from a minor we request to report this, so we can remove that data. We want to inform you, that you have the possibility to file a complaint at the national supervisor, the ‘Authority personal data’ (AP).
