Lean Six Sigma books

As one of the most important components of the training content, our Lean Six Sigma books are widely recommended and used by training providers and individuals who want to be certified. The book series called Climbing the Mountain demonstrates a cohesive set of improvement methods that have been proven to be successful over decades such as TQM, Kaizen, TPM, Lean and Six Sigma. These methods, tools and techniques have been united in the Continuous Improvement Maturity Model (CIMM™). In addition to the reference books, Lean Six Sigma exercise books can be used by candidates to further solidify their knowledge.

Using a Lean Six Sigma book

These Lean Six Sigma books can be used for two purposes. Firstly, it acts as a guide for Lean Six Sigma Belts undertaking a Lean or Six Sigma project following the DMAIC roadmap (‘Define – Measure – Analyze – Improve – Control’). Secondly, it is a guide for (Master) Black Belts that are involved in improving the overall performance of the organization and to lead the continuous improvement transformation process.

Lean Six Sigma in a Digital Era

Language: Dutch, English

Serie: Climbing the Mountain

Author: H.C. Theisens

Edition: 1

ISBN13: 9789492240415

Summary

Lean Six Sigma has proven itself over the past decades as a powerful approach to improve processes, increase productivity, and make organizations future-proof. The principles and techniques are timeless and valuable, but the world is changing rapidly. We are currently in the midst of the transition from the Fourth Industrial revolution – with data science and artificial intelligence – to the Fifth Industrial revolution, in which the collaboration of humans and machines is opening up new possibilities. This book describes the classic tools, but also how many of these tools are evolving into digital versions.

This book offers a clear overview of the development and application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies. It shows how vision, strategy, structure, and culture converge in successful transformations, in which Champions, Green Belts, and Black Belts play a central role. The  Continuous Improvement Maturity Model  (CIMM™) describes how organizations grow continuously, supported by both classic and digital tools that make processes predictable and in-control. This book goes beyond methodologies and tools. Project management, change management, agility, and leadership are also discussed extensively.

Since the first edition of the  Climbing the Mountain  series (2014), over 50,000 copies have been sold worldwide. This new edition, created by combining input from many experts, offers Green and Black Belts a actual and modern perspective on applying Lean and Six Sigma within a digital era.

The road to the top of the mountain is challenging, full of technical and organizational obstacles. But the journey is also inspiring, educational, and enjoyable. This book helps you overcome obstacles, stay on course, and ultimately enjoy the view from the top.

With this book, Dick Theisens demonstrates why he achieved his Master Black Belt certification Summa Cum Laude. He effortlessly combines classic Lean Six Sigma principles and techniques with the possibilities of today's digital revolution. An indispensable guide for any Green and Black Belt who wants to excel in Continuous Improvement.  - Prof. Dr. Ronald J.M.M. Does, University of Amsterdam.
